DIP switch settings for wired and simple remote controllers
Use these settings when configuring one or two wired remote controllers on the same indoor unit.
Important: Always set the DIP switches before turning the power on. Isolate power before changing any DIP switch position.
Two separate remote controllers can be used to operate the same indoor unit. When two controllers are connected, one controller must be configured as the Master and the other as the Slave.
1. Remote controller master / slave setting
Set DIP SW1 and DIP SW2 according to the number of wired remote controllers connected.
| Number of remote controllers | Master unit | Slave unit | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DIP SW1 | DIP SW2 | DIP SW1 | DIP SW2 | |
| 1 (Normal) — Factory setting | ON | OFF | — | — |
| 2 (Dual) | OFF | OFF | ON | ON |
Dual-controller configuration: Set the Master controller to SW1 OFF / SW2 OFF and the Slave controller to SW1 ON / SW2 ON.
2. Other DIP switch functions
DIP SW3 – Setting forbidden
Do not change DIP SW3. The source material identifies this switch as setting forbidden.
DIP SW4 – Model setting
| SW4 | Model setting |
|---|---|
| OFF | Heat Pump — Factory setting |
| ON | Cooling only |
DIP SW5 – Auto changeover validity
Heat pump models: Never turn SW5 ON on a heat pump model.
| SW5 | Auto changeover |
|---|---|
| OFF | Invalidity — Factory setting |
| ON | Validity |
DIP SW6 – Memory backup switch
Set SW6 to ON to use batteries for memory backup. If batteries are not used, stored settings will be deleted if there is a power failure.
Applicability: This function is available for the wired remote controller only. The source material states that this setting is forbidden for the simple remote controller.
| SW6 | Battery backup |
|---|---|
| OFF | Invalidity — Factory setting |
| ON | Validity |
3. Quick reference
| Switch | Function | Factory / normal setting |

| SW3 | Setting forbidden | Do not change |
| SW4 | Heat pump / cooling-only model selection | OFF = Heat Pump |
| SW5 | Auto changeover validity | OFF = Invalidity |
| SW6 | Battery memory backup | OFF = Invalidity |
