Part No. 9601705017 (Motor Induct)
This service information outlines the correct diagnostic procedure to verify the operation and electrical integrity of the outdoor fan motor assembly in Fujitsu J-Series VRF systems.
Check Point 1: Circuit Connection
Inspect wiring between:
Control PCB CN2 → Joint Connector → Fan Motor
Confirm Fan Capacitor (Yellow / Black) connection.
Verify connectors CN11 (AC-IN) and CN35 (CT/Communication) are secure.
Ensure DC12V control signal from the control board is present.
Check Point 2: Coil Resistance (Open / Short Circuit Check)
Measure resistance between the following wires at the fan motor:
| Item | Read Wires | Resistance Value (Ω) |
|---|---|---|
| Main A | White (1) – Red (2) | 45.0 ± 5% |
| Main B | Red (2) – Blue (3) | 59.5 ± 5% |
| Aux | Red (2) – Black | 22.5 ± 5% |
⚠ If resistance readings are out of range, replace the fan motor.
Check Point 3: Fan Motor Power Supply
Measure output voltage at CN2 on the Control PCB.
Expected reading: AC 220 V ± 20 V between CN2(2) and CN1(2) when standby power is present.
If 0 V, check:
AC input connection (CN1)
Main power supply
Check Point 4: Physical Inspection
Confirm unobstructed airflow around the fan.
Ensure no blockage from walls, dirt, or debris that could restrict cooling air intake or discharge.
Summary of Normal Operation
| Test | Expected Result |
|---|---|
| CN2 Power Output | 220 ± 20 V AC |
| Coil Resistance | Within ±5% of rated values |
| Fan Motor Sound | Smooth start-up, no vibration |
| Airflow Path | Clear and unobstructed |
