FGLair App - Known Issues and Corrective Versions
This article summarises Service Bulletin RAC-0081, issued 3 April 2018, covering known issues affecting Wi-Fi models when using the FGLair mobile application.
Quick Answer
- Product: RAC Wi-Fi models
- Application: FGLair
- Bulletin reference: RAC-0081
- Issued: 3 April 2018
- Issues included pairing failures, app freezing, settings not updating, timer problems and low-noise timer problems.
Known Issues
| No. | Occurrence Condition | Cause / Symptom | Target | Correction |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A | Manual mode pairing while using special symbols in the Wi-Fi router password. | If special symbol characters are used in the router password, the adapter may not recognise them and manual pairing always fails. | Android | Fixed in Android 2.2.6 (WW) / 1.3.6 (CN) and iOS 2.2.8 (WW) / 1.3.8 (CN). |
| B | Set Wi-Fi automatically on the smartphone/tablet, then pair in manual mode. | If the phone/tablet switches to a different router from the one currently selected, pairing may fail even though the error is rarely generated. | Android / iOS | Fixed in Android 2.2.6 (WW) / 1.3.6 (CN) and iOS 2.2.8 (WW) / 1.3.8 (CN). |
| C | Apply the same setting again without changing temperature, operating mode, fan or airflow direction. | If the same setting is sent again, the updating screen may not disappear and operation becomes unavailable. | Android / iOS | Fixed in Android 2.2.6 (WW) / 1.3.6 (CN) and iOS 2.2.8 (WW) / 1.3.8 (CN). |
| D | Wait several minutes while displaying the Wi-Fi list during manual mode pairing. | The application freezes. | Android / iOS | Fixed in Android 2.2.6 (WW) / 1.3.6 (CN) and iOS 2.2.8 (WW) / 1.3.8 (CN). |
| E | Set weekly timer. | The first timer schedule is not executed. Schedules created after the second one operate normally. | Adapter | Fixed in LF 6.14 and LFA 2.14. |
| F | Set outdoor unit low-noise timer. | The outdoor unit low-noise timer is not executed at all. | Adapter | Fixed in LF 6.14 and LFA 2.14. |
| G | Operate the air conditioner with the application immediately after pairing is completed. | If the unit is operated while the Refresh process is still running, the Refresh process may terminate halfway and the unit can no longer be controlled from the application. | Android | Fixed in Android 2.2.7 (WW) / 1.3.7 (CN). |
Customer Impact

- The outdoor unit low-noise timer may not operate.
Service note: Before carrying out further fault finding, confirm the FGLair app and Wi-Fi adapter are updated to a version that includes the applicable correction.
Recommended Troubleshooting
- Confirm whether the issue matches one of the known conditions above.
- Check the installed FGLair app version.
- Where applicable, check the Wi-Fi adapter firmware version.
- Update the app or adapter to the corrected version or later.
- Restart the application if it is frozen or stuck on an updating screen.
- Repeat pairing after confirming the smartphone/tablet is connected to the intended Wi-Fi router.
- If the issue remains after updating, continue with normal Wi-Fi and network troubleshooting.
