What the Pressure Sensor Kit Does

Installing the UTY-SPWX Pressure Sensor Kit increases the allowable height difference between the outdoor unit and indoor units from 50 m to 110 m.

Compatibility requirement: Only V-III outdoor units fitted with the applicable later software are compatible with the Pressure Sensor Kit.

Main PCB Replacement on Systems Using UTY-SPWX

Where the system is using the Pressure Sensor Kit and DIP SW 102-4 is ON:

  • Use a Main PCB with software Version 10 or later.
  • If the outdoor system is a multiple-unit combination, ensure the software version of all outdoor units is matched to Version 10 or later.
  • The service bulletin states that Main PCBs were changed to Pressure Sensor Kit-compatible software from orders placed from 29 January 2018.

Service Check Before Installing UTY-SPWX

  1. Confirm the outdoor unit model.
  2. Confirm the outdoor unit serial number against the applicable bulletin table.
  3. Confirm the outdoor unit software is compatible with the Pressure Sensor Kit.
  4. For Main PCB replacement, confirm the replacement PCB has Version 10 or later software.
