J-III Series – DIP Switch & Refrigerant Circle Addressing

2. DIP Switch Configuration

Each model uses five DIP switch sets, labelled Set-1 through Set-5. These switches are used for installation and control parameters such as system addressing, communication assignment and refrigerant circuit control.

Switch Orientation
White = ON (up position)
Black = OFF (down position)

Refer to the applicable service manual for the individual function definition of each switch within Set-1 to Set-5.

3. Refrigerant Circle Address

Each outdoor unit includes a dedicated refrigerant circuit address dial with positions 0–9.

The selected address must match the system configuration so the outdoor and indoor units communicate correctly on the refrigerant circuit.

Important
An incorrect refrigerant circle address or DIP switch setting can cause communication faults, incorrect system recognition or prevent the system from starting.

4. Commissioning Guidance

  1. Isolate power before changing any DIP switch or address setting.
  2. Confirm the required refrigerant circle address from the system design documentation.
  3. Check the required Set-1 to Set-5 DIP switch positions against the applicable service manual.
  4. Verify all switch positions before reapplying power.
  5. After power-up, confirm the system completes communication and addressing normally.
