UTY-RNNYN Temperature Limitation

Setting the heating upper limit and cooling/dry lower limit
Applicable controller: UTY-RNNYN backlit wired remote controller
The UTY-RNNYN wired controller allows the available temperature range to be restricted using DIP Switch Bank 2. Switches 2-1 to 2-3 set the minimum cooling and dry temperature, while switches 2-4 to 2-6 set the maximum heating temperature.
Safety notice: Isolate power to the air-conditioning system before removing the controller cover or changing DIP switch settings. Controller access and configuration should be completed by suitably qualified personnel.

1. Switch functions

2. Heating upper temperature limit

Use DIP switches 2-4, 2-5 and 2-6 to set the highest temperature that can be selected in Heating mode.

3. Cooling and Dry lower temperature limit

Use DIP switches 2-1, 2-2 and 2-3 to set the lowest temperature that can be selected in Cooling or Dry mode.

4. Configuration procedure

  1. Turn the air-conditioning system off and isolate the power supply.
  2. Remove the front cover of the UTY-RNNYN controller.
  3. Locate DIP Switch Bank 2 on the rear of the controller.
  4. Set switches 2-1 to 2-3 for the required Cooling/Dry minimum.
  5. Set switches 2-4 to 2-6 for the required Heating maximum.
  6. Reassemble the controller and restore power.
  7. Confirm that the selectable set temperature range matches the required limits.
Important: The cooling minimum must remain lower than the heating maximum. Select settings that provide a practical operating range for the site.

5. Example

To restrict the controller to a range of 22°C to 24°C:

  • Cooling/Dry minimum 22°C: 2-1 ON, 2-2 OFF, 2-3 OFF.
  • Heating maximum 24°C: 2-4 ON, 2-5 ON, 2-6 OFF.
This guide applies specifically to the UTY-RNNYN wired remote controller. Confirm the controller model before changing any switch settings.
