This guide provides step-by-step instructions for connecting your Fujitsu air conditioner to the FGLAir app via Wi-Fi.

1. Before You Start

✅ Ensure:

  • The Wi-Fi module is installed and located within 10 metres of your Wi-Fi router or booster.

  • Your smartphone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network the air conditioner will connect to.

  • Wi-Fi signal strength near the AC is 3 bars or greater.

  • The AC is turned off via the remote control before starting.

2. Download and Register the App

  1. Download FGLAir from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

  2. Open the app and register a user account.

    • Select Australia as the region.

    • Avoid using “@” symbols in passwords.

  3. Confirm your registration by verifying the email sent to your inbox.

3. Connect and Prepare the Module

  1. Turn off power to both indoor and outdoor units and wait 5 minutes.

  2. If fitting a Wi-Fi module kit:

    • Connect the three-pin plug to the wired remote terminals.

    • Disconnect the existing wired remote, if present (cannot operate simultaneously).

  3. Restore power to the system and wait for 1 minute until the orange LED on the Wi-Fi module starts flashing.

4. Pairing with FGLAir

  1. Open the FGLAir App and tap the “+” icon to add a new device.

  2. Locate the Wi-Fi module—it may be under the indoor unit lid or externally mounted.

  3. Note the SSID (AC-UTY-XXXX) and PIN code from the module label (see Adaptor Overview diagram on page 3 of the manual).

  4. On your phone, open Wi-Fi settings and connect to the AC-UTY-XXXX network using the PIN.

  5. Once connected, the app will automatically redirect you to your home Wi-Fi list.

  6. Select your home Wi-Fi network and enter your password.

  7. The app will configure the module to your network — this process may take up to 10 minutes depending on signal quality.

5. Confirmation

Once the setup is complete:

  • Your air conditioner will appear in the FGLAir app device list.

  • You can now turn the unit ON/OFF, adjust temperature, mode, and fan speed, and set timers.

  • The Application Overview screen (see page 2) shows key features such as:

    • Room temperature

    • ON/OFF button

    • Mode display

    • Temperature setting

    • Individual AC name display

6. Reset Instructions

If setup fails:

  1. Uninstall the FGLAir app from your phone.

  2. Turn off power to the air conditioner at the main switch for 2 minutes.

  3. Reinstall the app, but do not set it up yet.

  4. Press and hold the Setting Button on the Wi-Fi module for 10 seconds.

  5. Reset is complete when both LED lamps (green and orange) flash 3 times simultaneously.

7. Helpful Notes

  • The Wi-Fi module may take up to 15 minutes to complete setup—do not press Done or close the app prematurely.

  • Use a Wi-Fi booster if the module is far from the router.

  • Only one control type (Wi-Fi or wired remote) can operate at a time.
