Connect Your Air Conditioner to FGLAir

Wi-Fi setup, pairing and reset instructions
For compatible Fujitsu air conditioners fitted with an FGLAir wireless LAN module
This guide explains how to connect a compatible Fujitsu air conditioner to your home Wi-Fi network and add it to the FGLAir app.
Important: Installing or wiring a Wi-Fi module requires access to the air conditioner's electrical components and must be completed by a qualified technician. The steps below assume the module is already installed and powered.

1. Before you start

Check the following before beginning:

  • The wireless LAN module has already been installed by a qualified technician.
  • The module is within approximately 10 metres of your Wi-Fi router or booster.
  • Your phone is connected to the same home Wi-Fi network you want the air conditioner to use.
  • The Wi-Fi signal near the indoor unit shows approximately three bars or more.
  • The air conditioner has been turned off using its remote control.
  • You have the home Wi-Fi network name and password available.
Wi-Fi requirement: Compatible FGLAir modules generally connect through a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. If your router combines 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz under one network name, you may need assistance from your internet provider or router manufacturer.

2. Download FGLAir and create an account

  1. Download FGLAir from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Open the app and select the option to create a new account.
  3. Select Australia as your region when prompted.
  4. Enter your account details and create a password. The supplied setup information advises avoiding the @ symbol in the password.
  5. Open the verification email sent to your inbox and follow the link to confirm your account.
  6. Return to FGLAir and sign in.

3. Connect the air conditioner

After power is restored to the air conditioner, allow at least one minute for the wireless LAN module to start. The orange indicator should begin flashing when the module is ready for setup.
  1. Open the FGLAir app and tap the + symbol to add an air conditioner.
  2. Locate the wireless LAN module. Depending on the installation, it may be under the indoor unit cover or mounted externally.
  3. Find the label on the module and note the network name beginning with AC-UTY- and the associated PIN.
  4. Open your phone's Wi-Fi settings and connect to the AC-UTY-XXXX network.
  5. Enter the PIN from the module label when requested.
  6. Return to the FGLAir app. The setup process should display the available home Wi-Fi networks.
  7. Select your home Wi-Fi network and enter its password carefully. Wi-Fi passwords are case-sensitive.
  8. Allow the app to complete the connection. This may take 10 to 15 minutes, depending on signal strength.
During setup: Keep the app open and do not press Done, switch networks, or close the app until the process has completed.

4. Confirm the connection

Once pairing is successful, the air conditioner will appear in the FGLAir device list.

Use the app to confirm that you can:

  • Turn the air conditioner on and off.
  • Change the temperature setting.
  • Select the operating mode.
  • Adjust the fan speed.
  • View the room temperature and unit name.
  • Create timers where supported.

5. Reset the wireless LAN module

A reset may be required after changing your router, Wi-Fi network name or password, or when a previous setup has failed.

  1. Turn off power to the air conditioner at its isolator or main switch and leave it off for approximately two minutes.
  2. Restore power and allow the wireless LAN module to restart.
  3. Press and hold the module's Setting button for approximately 10 seconds.
  4. The reset is complete when the green and orange indicators flash together three times.
  5. Repeat the connection process in the FGLAir app.
Do not remove covers or access internal wiring. If the Setting button or module cannot be safely reached without opening the air conditioner, contact a qualified air-conditioning technician.

6. If the setup does not complete
