Overview

A software issue has been identified in the Service Tool (UTY-ASGXZ1) and Web Monitoring Tool (UTY-AMGXZ1) when S-series and V-series indoor units are connected within the same refrigerant system.
In this situation, the sensor information on the Detail Diagram screen may display incorrectly.

To address this, Fujitsu General has released a software update for both tools.
The issue was officially documented under Service Bulletin VRF-0150, issued 20 July 2017

1. Issue Description

When S-series and V-series indoor units are mixed:

  • The Detail Diagram screen only displays sensor data from one series of indoor units.

  • The Operating History and Status List screens may show sensor readings in incorrect positions.

Example (see page 2 diagram):

  • Sensor TH2 or TH3 data appears shifted or mismatched between unit series.

  • Some temperature and EEV readings do not correspond to the correct indoor unit channel

2. Corrective Action

Fujitsu General has corrected the issue through a software update to both the:

  • Service Tool (UTY-ASGXZ1)

  • Web Monitoring Tool (UTY-AMGXZ1)

New software versions:
0.2.0.3 (M14) and later

.

The updated software ensures:

  • Accurate display of all mixed indoor unit sensor data.

  • Correct alignment of sensor values across all screens (Detail Diagram, Operating History, and Status List).

3. Software Update Procedure

Automatic Update

  1. Launch the Service Tool or Web Monitoring Tool.

  2. When prompted with “Update for the later version is available,” select Yes.

  3. The latest installer will download automatically.

  4. Follow on-screen instructions to complete installation.

Note: If an older version of either tool is running, close it manually before updating

Manual Update

If the tool is already open:

  1. Right-click the tool icon in the Windows task tray.

  2. Select Version → Checking for later version.

  3. If 0.2.0.3 (M14) or later is available, press Update to install.

  4. Follow installation prompts (identical to the automatic update process)

4. Identifying Units Requiring Update

Carton Label Identification

If the carton label shows version 0.2.0.0, 0.2.0.1, or 0.2.0.2, the tool must be updated.

Software Version Screen

From the tool’s version window:

  • If the lower-left 4-digit version reads 0.2.0.0, 0.2.0.1, or 0.2.0.2, an update is required.

  • Version 0.2.0.3 (M14) or newer indicates that the fix has been applied

    .

5. Implementation

  • All new production units from September 2017 onward include the corrected version.

  • Web-distributed versions are automatically updated via Fujitsu’s online update system.

  • Local stock does not need unpacking for manual update, as all updates occur digitally via the automatic process

Summary

When S-series and V-series indoor units are combined within a single VRF refrigerant system, earlier versions of the Service and Web Monitoring Tools may display incorrect sensor data.
The issue is resolved in version 0.2.0.3 (M14) and later.
Users should verify their software version and update automatically or manually to ensure accurate monitoring and diagnostics.
