Connect your KMCB air conditioner to FGLair

Account setup, WPS pairing, manual connection and troubleshooting
For ASTG18KMCB, ASTG22KMCB and ASTG24KMCB indoor units
These models include a built-in wireless LAN adapter. Once connected, the FGLair app can be used to operate the air conditioner remotely, manage multiple systems, create schedules and receive system notifications.
Before starting: Your air conditioner and mobile device must connect through a compatible 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. A 5 GHz-only network cannot be used for setup.

2. What you can do with FGLair

  • Turn the air conditioner on or off while away from home.
  • Adjust temperature, operating mode, fan speed and louvre settings.
  • Control multiple compatible air conditioners from one account.
  • Create schedules and minimum-heat operation.
  • Receive notifications when the system reports an error.

3. Before you begin

  1. Confirm your router supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi using IEEE 802.11 b/g/n.
  2. Check that the internet connection is working.
  3. Install the FGLair app from your device's app store.
  4. Locate the wireless LAN label for the air conditioner. It contains the unit's SSID, MAC address and PIN.
  5. After powering the indoor unit, allow at least 60 seconds for the wireless adapter to start.
Wireless adapter indicators
Green LED: power and operating status.
Orange LED: Wi-Fi communication status.
Setting button: used for pairing and resetting the wireless connection.

4. Create your FGLair account

  1. Open FGLair and select Create Account.
  2. Enter the requested details, including your email address, password, user name and phone number.
  3. Accept the terms and select Sign Up.
  4. Log in using the account details you created.

5. Connect using WPS button mode

Use this method when your router has a WPS button.

  1. In FGLair, tap the + symbol and select Button Mode.
  2. Press the WPS button on your router.
  3. Press and hold the setting button on the indoor unit for approximately 3 seconds. The orange LED should flash.
  4. Wait until both wireless adapter LEDs remain steadily illuminated.
  5. Return to the app and select Register.
  6. Setup is complete when the app displays Registration complete.

6. Connect using manual mode

Use manual mode when your router does not support WPS.

  1. In FGLair, tap the + symbol and select Manual Mode.
  2. Select Open WLAN Settings.
  3. From the available Wi-Fi networks, select the network beginning with AC-UTY. Match it to the SSID printed on the unit's wireless LAN label.
  4. Enter the PIN printed on the wireless LAN label.
  5. When prompted, enter the name and password for your home's 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
  6. Wait for the connection process to finish. The app will display Complete when registration is successful.

7. Check the connection

  • Use the app to turn the air conditioner on or off.
  • Change the temperature or operating mode and confirm the indoor unit responds.
  • When adding more than one system, repeat the registration process for each indoor unit.
Only one FGLair user ID can be registered to each wireless adapter. Other household members can use the same account credentials on their devices.

8. Reset the wireless connection

A reset may be required after changing routers, changing Wi-Fi details or transferring the air conditioner to a new owner.

  1. Where possible, first remove the unit from the existing FGLair account through Settings > Unregister Device.
  2. Press and hold the setting button for 10 seconds.
  3. The LEDs will flash together three times to confirm the reset.
  4. Repeat the WPS or manual setup process to reconnect the unit.

9. Troubleshooting

Connection tips
  • Keep the router within reliable Wi-Fi range of the indoor unit.
  • Reduce interference from nearby microwaves, cordless phones and other 2.4 GHz equipment during setup.
  • Ensure the mobile device and air conditioner are being connected through the same 2.4 GHz network.
  • After replacing or changing the router, reset and pair the wireless adapter again.

10. Helpful operating notes

  • When app and remote-control settings differ, the most recent command takes priority.
  • Timers created in the app and timers set on the handheld remote operate independently.
  • Error information may appear through the error area in the Android app or as a pop-up notification on iOS.
Menu names and screen layouts may vary slightly depending on the mobile device and app version.
