1. General information

What is FGLair?

FGLair is Fujitsu's Wi-Fi control application. It allows users to operate a compatible air conditioner and check its operating status from a mobile device when away from the installation location.

Is there a fee to use FGLair?

The app and account registration are free. Internet and mobile-data charges are the user's responsibility and depend on their service provider.

Do I need to register?

Yes. Registration requires a valid email address and an internet connection on the mobile device.

Which mobile devices are listed as compatible?

PlatformCompatibility stated in the source FAQ
Apple iOSiOS 8.0 or later
AndroidAndroid OS 4.1 or later

Which air conditioners include built-in Wi-Fi?

  • ASTG18KMCB
  • ASTG22KMCB
  • ASTG24KMCB

Can FGLair be used with a wired remote controller?

Yes, but only with a compatible three-wire remote controller on KMCB models. Functions that are not available through the wired controller may be restricted.

2. Connectivity and system requirements

What wireless router is required?

  • A router supporting IEEE 802.11b/g/n.
  • The 2.4 GHz band, using channels 1–13.
  • The router must remain powered, connected and within reliable wireless range of the indoor unit.

What is required for remote operation?

Wireless range varies with router performance, building construction, distance and interference. A strong 2.4 GHz signal must be available at the indoor unit.

3. Functions and operation

What can be controlled through FGLair?

Depending on the indoor-unit and app version, users may be able to:

  • Turn the air conditioner on or off.
  • Adjust the operating mode and set temperature.
  • Adjust fan speed and airflow direction where supported.
  • Check the current operating status.
  • Configure timer or scheduling functions where supported.

Note: Available controls may differ by model and app version. Refer to the applicable app and air-conditioner operating manuals.

How many mobile devices can control one indoor unit?

Only one account can be registered to an indoor unit. Multiple mobile devices can control the unit by signing in with the same registered account ID and password.

How many indoor units can one account control?

Up to 24 indoor units can be registered to one account.

Can more than one account be used on a mobile device?

Yes. Multiple account IDs may be used on the same mobile device. Sign out through the user settings before changing accounts.

Which command takes priority: the app or remote controller?

The most recently issued command takes priority, regardless of whether it was sent from FGLair or the air conditioner's remote controller.

4. App installation and initial setup

  1. Install FGLair. Search for “FGLair” in Google Play or the Apple App Store.
  2. Create an account. Register using a valid email address and complete the account-verification process.
  3. Confirm the network. Ensure the mobile device and router are operating on a suitable 2.4 GHz wireless network.
  4. Pair the air conditioner. Follow the Wireless LAN Setup procedure in the applicable WLAN Setting Manual.
  5. Confirm operation. Check that the indoor unit appears in the app and responds to an on/off or set-temperature command.
The wireless setup consists of both the air-conditioner-to-router connection and the air-conditioner-to-app registration. Both stages must be completed.

5. Router, account and device changes

How do I connect the air conditioner to a replacement router?

  1. Press and hold the wireless setting button for 10 seconds to initialise the wireless adapter.
  2. Pair the wireless adapter with the replacement router using the WLAN Setup procedure.
  3. Confirm the unit is available and responding in FGLair.

How do I unregister an air conditioner from FGLair?

Open Settings in the FGLair menu and select Unregister. Unregister the air conditioner before initialising the wireless adapter, particularly when transferring ownership or disposing of the equipment.

How do I initialise the wireless adapter?

Press and hold the wireless adapter setting button for 10 seconds. Initialisation is complete when LED 1 (green) and LED 2 (orange) flash together three times.

Initialising the adapter removes its wireless-network settings. The unit must be paired again before remote control can resume.

What should I do after replacing my phone or tablet?

Install FGLair on the replacement device and sign in with the same account ID and password. Existing registered indoor units should remain associated with that account.

What should I do after changing my email address?

Create a new FGLair account using the new email address. Unregister the air conditioner from the existing account and then register it to the new account.
