SECOND: IF THE REMOTE STILL ISN’T WORKING ASK THE CUSTOMER IF THE CAN PRESS THE MANUAL/AUTO SWITCH ON THE INDOOR
UNIT (THE MANUAL/AUTO SWITCH IS LOCATED UNDER THE FRONT RETURN AIR GRILL, WHEN THE LIFT THE GRILL WHERE
THEY ACCESS THE FILTERS THE MANUAL/AUTO SWITCH WILL BE ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE AND IT IS A PUSH BUTTON TACK
SWITCH)
WHEN THEY PRESS THE SWITCH GET THEM TO HOLD IT IN FOR UP TO 5 SECONDS.
IF THE SYSTEM TURNS ON WITH THE MANUAL THEY CAN TURN IT OFF BY HOLDING THE AGAIN FOR ANOTHER 5 SECONDS
(THE CUSTOMER CAN RUN THE SYSTEM THIS WAY BUT IT WILL PUT THE SYSTEM AT AUTO 23°C AND THEY WILL BE UNABLE
WILL BE UNABLE TO CHANGE THIS SETTING)
THIRD: IF THE SYSTEM RUNS WITH THE MANUAL/AUTO BUTTON THEN THE PROBLEM CAN BE EITHER THE REMOTE CONTROL ITSELF OR
RECEIVER PCB ON THE INDOOR.
THERE IS A TEST THAT MAY WORK FOR TESTING TO SEE IF THE REMOTE IS SENDING A SIGNAL, THEY WILL NEED A SMART PHONE
FOR THIS TEST, PUT THE PHONE INTO CAMERA MODE (LIKE YOU ARE ABOUT TO TAKE A PICTURE BUT DON’T) POINT THE
REMOTE AT THE CAMERA, LOOK AT THE REMOTES BLACK SCREEN THROUGH THE PHONE SCREEN AND PRESS SOME BUTTONS
ON THE REMOTE CONTROL LOOK FOR A FAINT WHITISH FLASH ON THE REMOTES SCREEN WHEN BUTTONS ARE PRESSED (THEY
NEED TO LOOK THROUGH THE PHONE SCREEN TO SEE IT)
THIS MAY NOT WORK WITH ALL PHONES, IF THEY CAN SEE ANY FLASH THEN IT MAY BE THE REMOTE OR THE CAMERA THIS IS
NOT A FAIL SAFE PROCEDURE.
FOURTH: IF THE SYSTEM DOESN’T TURN ON WITH MANUAL/AUTO SWITCH OR THEY CANT NOT SEE THE FLASH IN THE REMOTE
REMOTE SCREEN THEN THERE MAY BE A FAULT WITH THE SYSTEM OR THE REMOTE THEY WILL NEED TO CALL A SERVICE
TECH TO COME OUT INSPECT THE SYSTEM FOR A FAULT.
